Introduction to Plastering Course

The perfect course for all DIYers or anyone who wants an introduction in to the plastering world.
The course is set over 2 days and is an equivalent to a Level 1 in plastering.
If you want to take on small projects at home or want a starting platform in to the industry this course will cover all aspect of the basics of plastering. Below is a brief description of what the course covers.

What you will learn:
DAY 1

We will have an introduction and Brief talk about plaster, the different types of materials, tools and their uses. We aim not to spend too much time talking but to get you on the tools as soon as possible.

• Learn the different types of plasterboard.
• Install plasterboard to walls.
• How to install beads and scrim in preparation ready for skimming.
• Mix and apply plaster to wall.
• DAY 2
  We will have a quick recap of day 1 before we jump straight back on the tools!.
• Learn how to repair plaster and match existing plaster.
• Understanding primers and sealers and their uses for different backgrounds.
• How to re skim existing walls.
• Quiz

Throughout the course we will explain every element in detail and aim to make sure all participants leave with a full understanding of the course content.
